Appreciation Luncheon a Success
This fall's Appreciation Luncheon, hosted by Chuck Beidler, was a huge success. A good time was had by all, and the meal was fabulous!
Chuck also reports that he is currently in the middle of scheduling presentations for the Workforce Development Course.
Teacher Tours
Teacher Tours are planned for October 28, 2005 from 8;00a.m. to 1:00p.m. The tours will include Noah's Landing in Coats, Southern Properties Management in Erwin, and Harnett Production Enterprises in Lillington.
The participants will board the bus at Harnett Central High School, travel to tours, return to HCHS and then return to their schools for the afternoon.
This is a great opportunity for teachers as it will provide useful information to share with students about the world of work and the availability of jobs and training within Harnett County.
This is limited to the first 30 participants! Sign up today by contacting Susan Stephens.

President’s Message
The Harnett County Business/Education Partnership began our new year July 1, 2005 so we are in the planning stages for the 2005-2006 school year. We will soon begin our sponsorship campaign which is handled by our Development/Nominations Committee. I encourage all of you to participate and help support our organization. Other committees are working or will be on their upcoming activities. Please be ready to help in anyway that you can with their projects. I would like to say thank you to Chuck Beidler for hosting the Appreciation Luncheon that was held on August 15, 2005 for the Curriculum Presenters. Chuck and the Presenters gave a lot of time out of their busy schedules to help with this very important part of the BEP efforts. So THANK YOU to all who had a part in the presentations for 2004-2005. If you have not participated before Chuck is always looking for volunteers. Speaking of volunteering if you are a board member, sponsor or worked with the Partnership in the past we need your help this year. Sign up on a committee, volunteer at our career fairs, and mark your calendars to attend our board meetings. It is very important that we have as much involvement as possible at our meetings so we can share ideas and help our organization grow. If you are interested in serving as an officer, please let us know. Change of Leadership can bring in new ideas and we want to continue improving our program. If you need more information about the partnership, the committees or how you can help please contact the Dunn Chamber office or Kim Hargrove at 910-893-7540. I would like to say Thank you to our contributors and our volunteers. We can not accomplish what we do without your help.
Kim Hargrove, President
